About

Hi, I'm Jack, an architecture student at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. My work spans a range of scales and programs, from a self-built timber dwelling to a waterfront civic campus, connected by a consistent interest in how buildings are actually made and how they perform for the people who use them. Across my projects I return to a few recurring questions: how structure can shape space rather than simply support it, how a building negotiates its site and context, and how design can serve community in tangible ways. Whether working through the material logic of a lightweight timber truss, the flood infrastructure of a working waterfront, the shared courtyards of a communal residence, or the programmatic layering of a market and education facility, I approach each project with attention to construction systems, environmental performance, and the specific conditions of place. Alongside my studies, I bring hands-on professional experience through an assistant project management role at a New York City architecture office, supporting design development, project coordination, and client communication. This combination of studio practice and real-world engagement shapes an approach to architecture grounded in both ideas and built reality.
